Fairy stones always feel grounded to me and help me feel closer to Mother Gaia. Beautiful and unique fairy stone, natural phenomenon, about 10,000 years old left on the edge of lakes and rivers due to the melting of glaciers. Sourced myself, this stone comes from a river in Rouyn-Noranda, Abitibi, Quebec.
These concretions are made of fine sand and silt consolidated by limestone cement. According to the Amerindians, these stones brought health and prosperity, served to protect homes, lucky charms and more. Some pieces have a smooth upper face and a rougher inner face due to traces left by fossilized mini-organs. Others have shapes representing women, children, angels, animals and birds.
